CINNAMON APPLE BREAD PUDDING

If the best things in life aren't always free, at least they should be simple. Serve this uncomplicated, one-pan bread pudding warm with applesauce, maple syrup or whipped cream

Ingredients

3 cups French Vanilla Half & Half

4  Large eggs 

1/2 cup brown sugar 

1/2 cup raisins, dried cherries or dried cranberries (or other dried fruit) 

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract 

1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon Powder 

3 tablespoons Butter or Margarine, melted 

4  medium apples 

8 cups cubed stale bread 

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter the bottom and sides a 13x9 inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, mix the half & half and eggs until smooth. Stir in the brown sugar, dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and melted butter. 

Peel and chop apples. Place the apples, bread cubes and raisins in the baking dish to form a uniform layer. Pour egg mixture over apples and bread.

Bake until set, 40 to 50 minutes. Serve warm.
